The wrenches John mentioned were used quite extensively on David Brown tractors of the late fiftys and sixtys, at least thats what I found when I was a pseudo mechanic at a local shop...... On the Essex Tri Directional tool kit; not many wrenches were needed as these machines were basicaly trouble free, except the ones that were converted to "Guessometer Simmetry Mode". As a token gesture, a few tools of unique designe were issued by the now defunct company, [seems as though they lost direction], these were all metric and included a flat screw driver, a pair of pliers with built in blood-blister maker, and an adjustable spanner of the left handed variety, that could double as an Intrinsic Digestifyer Inhibulator, but only if there were adiquate and variable Doowhackers in the left quadrant. Now, I know Alberta Mike is going to argue this point, but, contrary to common belief, these units were not the air ride variety, mentioned in the journal of "Jurisprudal and Insignifial Demoquakery", volume two, rather they used a unique system of "Tri-demo-die-ethal-thalimar" a very rare and delicate suspension device used in the construction of the great piramids of Yanmaridin. To sum up, tools for the original unit were not issued to the layman or novice operator for fear of misaligning the delicate balance needed for operation of the quaking misaliner.
