I was 19, working on the home farm, when JFK was shot. Just finished dinner, listening to WCCO radio, out of MPLS. When the towers was hit I was finishing morning milking on this farm, 12 days before we sold the herd. Went to the house and saw the TV reports, watched the 2nd tower get hit. Then the reports about the Pentagon, the WH evac, and the plane in PA. My brother, lifetime Army, often worked at the Pentagon, but not that day. I knew not to check on him, but he screamed "get off the line" at my sister, who lived in MD and was concerned about him. Why do people do that- they can"t do anything about the situation, yet they tie up phone lines.
