i think it was a very good move on cat and agco part cat really got out of farming in the 30,s wen they sold there combine division to john deere, agco would be the one i would turn to after caseIH,most young farmers think they have to have green tractor,s to farm today, well there are a lot of old gleaner combines out there and never heard any one call them junk---or the IH-axilfow.heard a shop forman at a very proment caseIH dealer in ohio say if the red and green boys ever drove a fendt--we would be in trouble.would just like to se agco put the old allis-chalmers name back on there machinery, and not do like the college boy,s up in racine did to international-harvester.hell case only built a tractor the last 10 years befor the merger, and i dont think it was anything to write home about.i would put the farmall and allis name back on tractor,s starting the first of the year, and make service packages to up-date all the old ones. boy what the college boy,s could do if they had to spend a summer on the farm---before making dicisions.
