Not to be a downer, but I knew a guy that died from something like that. Only he was on a bicycle! City kid rode everywhere, went to jump the curb and his front tire came off. Took a header over the handle bars right onto the sidewalk. Woke up in the ambulance on the way to the hospital; where they figured out the seriousness of his injuries -he didn't have any health insurance. Sent him home with minimal treatment. Ice bag and sheet of destructions of what to do and not to do for a mild concussion. One was not to fall asleep and to have someone wake him up if he did for next several hours. He lived in a bachelor pad with two other guys. At least he died in his sleep.
