I have located two "high crop" tractors: John Deere 6400 and 7400, they are both reasonably priced in good condition with reasonable hours. The problem is I don't need a high crop tractor, as I will be using it for pulling a round baler and handling bales and manure with a loader. Does anyone know what it would cost to convert a tractor over to normal operation (or does anyone want to swap parts)? I realize the front ring and pinion gears would have to be changed as well as tires and rims but that is the end of my rather limited knowledge. Thank you in advance for your time and advice.
