I recently picked up a JD L with sickle bar mower already attached. Previous owner told me he used it quite a bit in the past to mow along the road. The belt was not on it when I purchased it but he did have it. When I try to use the mower the belt does not stay center on the pulley and moves to the right side. From what I can tell the center of the propeller shaft pulley is lined up pretty close to the pitman pulley. I have made some adjustments and it still pulls to the right when it is under tension. I have never used a belt before so this is all new to me. Any suggestions to keep the belt centered? I have the owners manual and I am doing what it tells me to do but it does not seem to help. Could the belt possibly be the issue? It is the type that you join connect with a rawhide pin, or something like that. Thanks. The picture shows the belt under tension and it has moved itself to the right, rubbing on the frame of the mower.

Rustic places with cheerful names like "The Griffin" "Red Lion" or "The Plough and Harrow" are found dotted around the country lanes all over the place. The warm glow of yellowish light can be seen for quite some distance at dusk, and
