Since I have developed two home sites from scratch includeing a wooded one I would recomed you have a professional come in a clear and prepare the site. Have your Septic system layed out and approved first befor disturbing the dirt (Very Important)!! Big equipment is needed for Stumps, Ditches and Major Land Clearing. After the rough work is done get yourself a small tractor for working the land to your needs. You realy won't save to much renting equipment and doing it yourself unless you do this for a living. Sometimes you may make it worse and still need someone to fix it right. (Paying Twice!) You don't haft to have them do it all just the things you need big equipment for. Good luck in your future Home Site! Mark H.
