Could be bad connections or dirty or broken wires. What you need to do is do a load test and see how many Amps your starter is pulling when you try to start the Tractor as if the bearings are going bad in the starter it will need more amps to work than you have available and that's assuming you have enough battery under the seat, you'll need two BIG 6 volts like John Deere made it with OR one F.E. 12 volt, something so big you have to go to a real battery shop or fleet jobber and you'll need a truck to haul home
