There was also a US steam traction engine builder called Upton Manufacturing Co, they were located first in Battle Creek, then later in Port Huron Mich....they became Port Huron Engine & Thresher Co. about 1890 At one time there was an 1860's Upton in the Henry Ford collection at Greenfield village, I don't know if it is still there.
