If what you're trying to say here is that the rats won't eat the conventionally grown oats, maybe they know something we don't? Scavengers like rats have an instinct to tell them when something is not good to eat.
Reality here is that this is a bad example; the presence of rat poop has more to do with how the oats are stored than how they're grown. Dump them on a pile in an open barn and you're going to have rats. Put them in a sealed bin, no rats.
