As much fun as this year has been, last year was a bundle of laughs too. So much rain in the fall. Rutted up the fields terrible trying to get my corn before the deer ate the last of it. Had to quit. Then I go back when the ground is frozen and, you guessed it, a combination of bleed down in the hydraulics and a bit of inattention and I caught a frozen rut and tore up one of my row dividers. Anyone know where I might find a good used one for an 800 series IH corn head? Thing is, it's a $1000 head and I don't want a new one that costs 20% of the header value. Not in a hurry, I only have one very small field to pick this year and the deer have eaten roughly half of it...I can probably pick what is left with the other row units in about an hour. :(
