I agree Keith with your comments. Before Mirex was taken off the market, we could control the ants just as you describe. Ususally now when we put anything on the mound, the ants will leave it and a new mound will appear nearby in a few days. Petroleum will kill the mound, but is expensive as you have to use a lot so it will go down quickly and get the queen. It is not a good solution. Thanks again.
