Take both ends out of a steel drum. Put it over the stump and burn it out. That way you aint snatching and pulling your guts out. If the stumps are too big for a barrel just put a barrel on top of the stump and have a fire in it anyways. The barrel will hold the heat in the stump and it will make and updraft that draws the fire on the stump til the stump is gone-gone.
