I would try and avoid using it if you can. Your D should handle a plow fine without it. Should be pretty easy to find cast iron weights for the D unless you have spoked rear wheels ? You are limited to a trailer plow ,but if set up properly you can get them to pull down on the tractor to aid traction. The owners manuals have good info on adjusting them. I only have fluid in loader tractors. Hard to get enough wheel weights alone for them. My newer one has the washer fluid stuff in it. Not as heavy as I would like to be safe ,but a 3 pt counter weight can be hooked up for heavy lifting.
