I checked the flat surface behind the starter for numbers. It s so pitted up that I can t make out any numbers. I would attach a pic if I could. Is there any other location I could look? I think it s a 1800 or 4000 industrial series. It has a four cylinder diesel motor and a five speed trans. It also has power steering. Like stated before the engine is stamped with 609018. If I could id the motor, would I be able to find a rebuild kit for it without knowing the tractor model number? Any advice is appreciated.
