We took the oilbath aircleaner off our John Deere AR, desoldered it to take it completly apart and take the coil of screen out. I thought it was plugged with grease and crud, but when we pulled out the screen, we found it was nearly all rusted out in the middle. It looked fine from the ends, there was no way to tell how really bad it was. we're in the process of adapting a dry filter to fit inside it.
