Lots of wheat now harvested at the south end of Lake Simcoe over the long weekend. Corn crop is all over the map. From the shortest corn, that is mine planted after first cutting hay came off and just waste high at best. All the way to corn that is fully and evenly tasseled, to the south of me in the Uxbridge- Port Perry area, were land is light and sandy loam, corn went in on time and benefited from frequent rain. My clay soils have be tough to deal with this year. Like Ben says, early frost in September will ruin any chance of making a buck off most corn near me, my corn is silage so my risk isn�t as great. Still lots of corn will only make grade 3-4
