Just curious, how did you estimate the hours at 400 for an almost 50 year old tractor? In response to your statement of being "original" there is no mention of whether the paint and decals are bright and clear or faded and in need of replacement. My point is many factors go into the value of a tractor. Running Hs go for $500 to $2500 if they are really special. If you watch the photo ads on this website you will see a wide range of conditions listed as "original". Other factors for an H are does it have wheel weights, a liftall, is it distillate or gas, does it have a beltpulley and what type of front end(single wheel, two wheel tricycle or widefront) it has. If your tractor runs and looks perfect the insurance company may allow $2000 to $3000 for its value. If it is faded and runs okay it will likely be $1000 to $1500. An H that has been repainted and has good rubber has a tough time bringing over $2000. One of the values of the H is that it can still be a productive tractor for small acerages by adding a 3-pt hitch. The were as many H's produced as almost any other single tractor model made. This makes them more valuable for using than collecting.

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
