If you mean that it cranks too slow, Try this:
Make sure your battery is fully charged-6.3 to 6.5 volts.
Make sure you have good cables-at least #1 gauge, #0 or #1/0 is better, But #1 should be fine for a cub.
Make sure all your connections are all clean, bright, and tight. You're only starting with 6 volts so you can't afford to lose any voltage to high resistance connections.
If all that doesn't do it, check the switch at the starter, make sure it makes good contact. They get burned and pitted over many years of use, high resistance here can hurt you too.
If you still do not have success, you may want to take the starter to a starter shop and have them check it over.
That 6 volt system should work reliably on a cub with very little trouble.
