Your public library will have all the laws in the books for everything. If you have questions on one item, this is a good place to look. If you have a whole slew of questions, it gets a bit overwhelming but this is the final answer.

The nearest state police highway department should give you the answers. Problem is, the answers will vary a bit depending on which trooper you get ahold of. Been there, done that with a different issue.

Went to the county courthouse & driver's exam station, and they refered me to the state troopers.

DOT should be a good place, but I wouldn't know who/what to contact for that?

I've heard the web site someone else mentioned is a good reference, but it does have some errors in it.
