Interesting. I've lived in a 500-5000 county all my life, and have always drank well water. Not much I can do about it now (will be 71 in a couple of weeks), so guess I'll just ride 'er out. It better kill me pretty quick if its going to, before I die of old age!
Something else kind of interesting- look how small the counties are in the Midwest and the south, compared to out west. And each with its own county government, sheriff's department, its own road equipment, etc. Think how much money could be saved if they consolidated, say, 4 into one in those areas! But of course, that will never happen, because much of the savings would be in laying off unnecessary employees, and nobody's going to give up their cushy guvment job without a fight!
