Nice looking hay field.. I�m with TxJim in the dislike of Bahia. In this part of Texas cutting it is like cutting wire because it�s so tough. Don�t like baling it either because it tends to stick to the belts and work it�s way behind them. Not a great hay grass either because 60% of the plants protein is in the bottom 3-4 inches. It is a better grazing grass because of its drought resistance and it�s ability to grow back after being grazed short. But it spreads like a weed so it�s hard to keep it where you want it.
