Can't help out with the tire paint but I sure would agree with your decision to not use Armorall. I have found that it turns your tires brown unless you keep using it constantly. Made that mistake with a few cars that I had. Also is terrible stuff on vinyl, makes it nice and shiny and soft for a while, then look out - nice and crispy and brittle. A lot of guys will probably disagree but that's my feeling on the stuff. I used to call it "heroin" because it works the same way.
