Manifold gasket repair

Farmall 560 gas. Gasket between intake & exhaust manifolds has come partially out. I really fear disassembly, as bolts/nuts are really rusty, and manifolds have small cracks (hate to make them worse). I don't farm for a living, so tractor has it pretty easy. Would J-B weld work for this? It says it rated for 600F, so temperature is not a problem. My question, I guess, is, will it actually stay in there. I tried some of the "tootsie roll" material a while ago, but it melted, cracked out in a few hours. Any ideas?
