John, F14 has some very good points to follow. I might add that most states require you to have brakes on any thing trailered over 3,000 that would be including trailer weight and some states it's less that that. Some states require it be tied at four points also. On the "n" seires FORD tractors you can also replace one of the front adjustable axel bolts on both sides with a weight rated eye bolt to put the chain clevis thru and on the rear replace the lower two rear fender bolts with the same.
