I would not sandblast a whole tractor. Here's the procedure I use. Pressure wash a couple of times. Then I mix about 2 quarts of liquid laundry detergent into my 2 gallon punp type garden sprayer and keep spraying the tractor to keep it wet. Then pressure wash again. Then I go over the tractor with a few sizes of wire wheels on an angle grinder and drill. I use pics and small hand wire brushes to get into the tough spots. Then I do the laundry detergent and pressure wash routine again. Blow it all down with compressed air and Let it dry overnight. Then I buy a gallon of lacquer thinner and wash it all down really good with brushes. Use the pump sprayer with more lacquer thinner to rinse it off. Blow it off with air. I rattle can prime immediately and let it dry. Then finally, I paint the tractor.
