I have a 7140 mag that has some bearing noise while drive in any gear you can feel the vibration by the shift and remote levers. its sounds exactly like someone tool a bearing and used compressed air to spin it.
however I have tore apart the right rear axle and haven't found any issue with the bearings at all. everything looks normal.
I did know if that noise could travel from the diff and carry out to the axle. you can only hear it while drive, that is why I thought it was in the right hand housing.
