Loren, you sold me on it, I went to the hardware store down the road, got one and tried it out. It works great and takes no time at all. Now sure, it's not as precise as the clamp on bar file guide I used for years, but it does the depth gauges (rakers) a lot better than I can do by hand judging how that has gone in the past. In regards to precision, one can get good at using one of these, with a steady hand it is not much less precise than the file guide, which does NOT do the rakers. I guess the only maintenance on it is rotating the files within the holder as needed. Chain cuts just about like a new one, saw pulls into the cut nicely ! 5 Stars all the way, best hand file tool I have ever used !
