I've removed the "JOHN DEERE "D" in the field Hydraulic systems (Installed as a field option by John Deere Technicians) from several Styled 'Ds" .....some day to install on one of my Styled "Ds"
"John Deere" installations. (1)Remove Magneto or Delco Distributor with points, condenser etc...with NUMBER 1 CYLINDER at point of ignition / firing..
(2)With the "DRIVE LUG" installed in the drive end of the OIL PUMP, attach oil pump to same flange as MAG / Distributor was attached to.
(3) Attach Mag or Distributor to exposed end of HYDRAULIC OIL PUMP. NOTE* (4) IF Mag was a LONG LUG DRIVEN MAG...then a SPACER is added between the MAG and the HYDRAULIC OIL PUMP..
The plumbing / OIL Reservoir / Control Valve was a HYDRAULIC UNIT from a STYLED 1950 John Deere "AR" This unit was installed on the floor boards of the STYLED "D" with the "AR" seat attached to the top of the "AR" CONTROL / OIL RESEVOIR UNIT just as the styled 'ARs" were.
On the Internet type in AUXILLARY HYDRAULIC UNIT JOIHN DEERD D or something like that and you shall locate info:
I have NEVER SEEN a FACTOR after market HYDRAULIC system on a JOHN DEER D other than the above;
I MAY swing by my parts machines and take a picture tomorrow....?
