High up on the list would be the first Ford tractor(nothing to do with Henry Ford motor company). If I remember right a politician farmer from Nebraska bought one of those non Henry Ford tractors and it was such an unusable pile of crap that he got a law passed that no tractor could be sold in Nebraska unless it passed state tests to prove any claims made by the manufactuer. This is where the Nebraska tractor tests got their start. Also this guy had the rights to the Ford tractor name,and when Henry Ford started building tractors he had to call them Fordson because he wasn't willing to pay the outrageous price this guy wanted for the Ford tractor name.
As to the Fordson tractor, an old neighbor tells the story about how hard starting the Fordson was.
He said you had to crank it untill the radiator boiled over before you had a chance to start it. He was atleast partially joking,I hope. :)
