Detroit uses a engine built by International.
The 466 and 530 were I believe it is called the series 40 by Detroit and Is used in generators and other Special applications. The Engine is a HEUI Injected electronic engine if built after 1997.
The design followed the new generation (1993 to 1996) 466 and 530 pump injected engine. The Engine your thinking of is a IH 466B or 466C built pryor to 1993. The Fuel system of the HEUI Electronic engine is the Same system used on the Ford Powerstroke Engine. John......... OLD IHC Truck Mechanic
