I have a gas 930 that did the same thing as yours, and still does on numerous occasions. I have traced the problem to the gas shut off valve under the gas tank. The orifice is so small that a small weed seed will either restrict the gas flow or stop it completely. I changed the fuel pump because that was another source of problems. The electrical wire would vibrate off and that would starve the old girl of fuel. This weekend I am going to run fuel line hose from the gas tank to the pump and see if that solves the problem. Will let you know the results.
