your carb my be set to lean this may

is why it will only run with the choke.
a lean carb will also cause an engine to
over heat. if the carb is a holley brand
which was common on your tractor is
prone to probloms anyway. a new zenith
carb is avalible at new holland dealers.
the zenith has a lot less probloms.

my ford tractor.
