I'm helping out my neighbour with his 4490. Somehow over the winter the PTO shaft won't turn off. The first issue is the leaver position. We want to make sure it's in the OFF placement .... all the writing is gone and we just want to make sure it's on the right place for off, either forward or backward.
Now it's still always spins regardless bet than we can at least ensure the linkage into the hydraulic motor is all moving correctly.
Beyond the linkage to the hydraulic motor what could it be internally? I don't think it's the case at the back that the PTO shaft comes out of, that just looks like a speed reducer or increaser.
Any thoughts or ideas are appreciated. I asssume I'm going to need to remove some stuff to get up inside to the motor and linkages.
