Ripely runs C-130�s in their training and growing up all to often it seemed as the farm was a landmark they used as a point in their run. (More likely the lake the farm was next to.) One day I was pulling the scraper with the 2-70 and I swore the old Waukesha dropped a valve. I shut it down and quickly realized the odd rumble was a 130 banking over the top of me at about 3-400 feet. I prayed a short hymn as the pilot grinningly waved to me and completed his turn. Then I drove back to the house for a wardrobe update.
