They are good, handy small tractors. What ruined them for me was their alarmingly, amazingly, ludicrously FAST reverse speed. When I traded up to an 8N from a 2N I was so disapointed in that reverse speed I soon traded up again and bought my first 3 cylinder Ford. Some say, "Put a Sherman Combo transmission in it. Then you can step down the reverse speed." They are right of course. But by the time you do that you might as well trade up to a 600 or newer Ford and get a more useable reverse plus several other upgrades as well - live hydraulucs for example.
