We've had our present place for 13 years- when we bought it, the sellers said the refrigerator in the garage worked, but the door was broken, and they would take it to the dump if we wanted. I put a bungi on it (just the right size from the condenser frame on the back to the handle in the front). It's still keeping the cold ones cold.
