All of a sudden it went dead-soon started pouring rain. Got cleaned up and went to look for the ladies in Oelwein--As I got closer I started to see damage 1 mi north of town- the motel was gone and there were cars and trucks in the ditches. Oelwein and Charles City were both hit by EF-5 tornados! May 15th 1968--Iowa has been hit by 4 EF-5 tornados since keeping records-2 in the same day 70 mi apart!---Tee
