Sheppard Tractor SD3

There is a farmer in my area who has a Sheppard SD3 tractor that he ask me if I would be interested in buying. I know nothing about the Sheppard Co. and have never heard of them before.
The tractor has not run in years!
Is it worth buying and what would a fair price be?
