I bought a 1240 Massey-Fergson and a 5 ft. Bushog brand finishing mower that pulls behind. I really got it for my wife, but I get to use it a little. This is really one sweet combination for my needs. I have about 2 to 3 acres around the house I call the yard so we mow a lot during the warm months. I have a Cub Cadet 2160 for small work, but it is gas. If you are looking for something for your dad to operate, you may have to think about what he will be comfortable with. Good luck.
