I was taking a few pictures of some local crops today and thought some might enjoy. I had never heard of planting wheat in 30 inch rows before but I talked to a custom cutter and he said that there was quite a bit of it here planted that way, flood irrigated in the furrows. Most corn is over your head and ready to tassel. Most local wheat is cut with Shelborn Headers and is yielding 150 to 160 BPA. A person can never get a handle on what season it is by looking at the crops as they will double crop with water melons, carrots, potatoes, radishes, alfalfa or what have you. They cut the alfalfa every 25 to 30 days and what I see of the quality, if those old Holstiens don,t produce they deserve to be hamburger. Hope you enjoy. Tom
