I never heard of L&M but sounds like a fair price. That said, I do not think I will ever knowingly buy an Exide battery again at any price. They have been sued several times for poor quality control. Exide has gone bankrupt twice in the past 20 years. I have had two bad ones in a row. Now it seems no place concerned with quality will sell them. I know Exide is still sold in places like Jiffy Lube, Tractor Supply Company, Home Depot, Dick's Sporting Goods, Camping World, American Tire Depot, BJ's Wholesale Club, Menards, and Discount Tire Centers. and I am sure more.
The battery I wanted is the smallest BCI #1 6 volt out there and should be the cheapest. Not much too it. $100 is the cheapest here at the "tip of the mitt" in northern Michigan.
