Mike,
I get about 17.5-18.5 driving around town with my crew cab Duramax. We got 15.1 avg driving from Puyallup, Wa to central WI and back last summer towing our 30' Airstream. We babied it-driving 60-65 all the way and we wouldn't allow the cruise control to force downshifts unecessarily. On the other hand it wasn't broken in-only had 3-5 M miles on it. On a day spent driving in Yellowstone with traffic, stops, etc, we got 24.6 mpg. I couldn't believe it but it's true. It must like driving at 40-45 mph. At any rate, we're very happy with it.
