Marloweg, i am guessing with a user name like "TXSHPPR512" he was hired to move the trailer, or won the bid to do it lol
rustedred, your statement about the axles is not true, they are completely legal to use, thats how they move mobile and manufactured homes, otherwise the YDOT or regular DOT/sheriff/HP would just sit there and get their monthly quota of tickets
TXSHPPR512: I wouldnt do it with less than a 550 or equal. you can count the axles under it and typically those axles are 7k, so that gives you an idea of the weight you are pulling. Others are correct when talking about having extra wheels and tires, the problem is if you dont need them then what, and if you do need them...
Inspect the existing tires and make sure they will hold and i wouldnt run over about 50 mph to try and save the tires. have a couple hydraulic bottle jacks and big lunch box, cause once you get started, dont stop, have a gallon jug to pe in, cause i can tell you, its when you stop is when you will have problems, if its rolling good, stay rolling....That run from midland to austin isnt bad, as long as you get through san angelo without any issues and your taking that thing to west austin
