It does the heart good to hear of someone your age with such a wholesome and moral outlook on life. I'm 39, so at about the time you were born, I was working for my dad and his cousin doing farmwork. I grew up on a Fordson Dexta, M Farmall, IH 444 and a JD 40. I tossed hay, plowed, bushogged, worked in way oversized vegetable patches, herded, fed and dehorned cattle, patched fences etc... Although the farm was not the primary source of income,(I'm not even sure it made any income), it sure kept me and my brothers busy during the summer and many evenings after school. I still piddle around on the old farm on weekends now, if I can get away to go up there. Although I don't know if I would want to do some of the drudgery tasks that I did growing up, I still long for those simplier times.
