I'm not that well versed on all the nuances of pulling, mostly because I don't currently own anything that would be competitive, but I do have friends that take it real, and I mean REAL, seriously. What started out as something fun has been changed into an obsession for some. The folks who pull regularly get pretty competitive about it. Not much looks (or sounds) stock to me anymore, even in the supposedly "farm stock" pulls.
There are quite a few pulls around here and in northern maryland over the summer. You see a wide variety of brands pulling, IH, JD, Oliver & some others.
Of course I root for the red ones.
