I bought some LED lights to put on my tractor. Each light has 9 LEDs x 3 watts each for 27 watts.
Now I'm trying to figure out the wiring.
There are wiring kits on eBay and Amazon for $10, but I don't like the switches they come with. I don't like the mouse shape, there's no place to mount it, and I assume it's for inside vehicle use.
I'm thinking I need a waterproof switch. Not that I plan to work much in the rain, but it might set out sometimes.
How did others do the wiring on your LED lights?
Or did you find a wiring kit with a decent switch for outdoor use? I'm thinking I want an up/down toggle switch with round base/mounting, but not short out in rain.
I could just buy a switch and wires, I guess.
Would I need a relay? The specs say mine is 27 watts, so that's very low amps, like 5 amps, right? Can I just use wires, a $5 switch and an in-line fuse? What size wires? Would 16 guage be enough, for 10 amps?
