Well, my family is red to the bone, and Dad always swore he would never own a Case. Well, just so happened we needed a bigger tractor a few years ago and a 2590 Case was up for sale at the right price. To finish the story we are still looking for another 2590 and a 2290 for the loader. The Case just runs, no repairs, just change oil, filters, grease it. Keeps going, keeps pulling 28 feet of hoe drills, 26 feet of anhydrous spikes, and runs the baler really good too. Power shift is a dream come true. Our 1086 has a DT414 that runs about 2850 rpms and pulls good, the 2590 has a DT504 that runs 2150 rpms and lugs great. Guess which engine will last longer. Steven
