So, I went to start up the Toro zero turn mower for 1st time this year. A few cranks and it fired up (I use Stabil and works great for me). After about 30 seconds, it started sputtering and shut dow. Assuming it was out of gas, I grabbed the full gas jug, but noticed gas dripping from the carburetor. Now, we inherited this from my in laws last year. Was running just fine. I assumed it was a cracked fuel line but Upon disassembly, I found the carburetor’s fuel bowl gasket was only half in place. It was pinched enough to look like it had been out of position for some time. No way my FIL disassembled this. Maybe a repair guy but how would it have run for a season? So, I straightened it out fairy well, reinstalled the kinked gasket with a little grease on it and no more leak. Runs like a top again. Can’t figure out how it got out of place.
