I am a tool & diemaker. I am 46 and have been a GM employee for 24 years. In the last few years much of GM's manufacturing capacity has been sent to Mexico. Now they had some disagreement with the Mexican government, (wages too high ) and now the bulk of new projects are going to China. I don't know how to compete with a Mexican making $3, much less a Chinese guy paid in fisheads & rice. And my employer is giving them the newest technology - they now have better equipment than me. I really don't know where this will end. Good luck - we all are going to need it! Irv
